We are now one-third of the way through the 2010 ASR Online Series season and it has definitely been an interesting one to say the least.  So far through seven races in the twenty one race season we have seen who will be some of the contenders in each series and who may be some surprises down the road.

Gary Hartrunft Jr has paced the field since early in the season and has widened his lead over second place John Avedesian.  However, quietly gaining on the two of them is Josh Gerlach.  With a win at Kentucky Gerlach gained 60 points on Hartrunft and looks to continue closing in on the points leader.  Also having a some what quiet but good season thus far is Bill Holland.  Sitting fifith in the point standings he has kept his car clean so far this season but he is tied with Tom Zborill who has shown that he can compete for a victory at any track we travel to.  Don't let the big point lead fool you, this series could provide an exciting race to the finish.

There hasn't been a repeat winner yet in the West Pro-Am series and the points has yet to post a victory as well.  Last week at Kentucky points leader Hollis VanderLoon could taste victory going into turn three but ended up leaving turn four in the tenth position after he and Chuck Runyan came together on the last lap.  VanderLoon has paced the field so far this season but there are some drivers lurking that could come into play later in the season.  Dennis Rickard has also been a quiet one through the first third of the season, staying 110 points back from the lead.  Tom Zborill is also up in the standings in the West Pro-Am series and is definitely still in the hunt this early in the season.  This series also looks to be one that could produce some exciting points shake ups.
